Phase 1 Wordless Book Set 1 (20 books)

A high-quality set of wordless books aimed at pre-readers learning phonemic awareness at home or in preschool settings (compatible with all Phase 1 phonics curricula).

This set contains 20 books. 

The first 18 books focus on the first 18 phonemes that are taught in Phase 2 of the All Aboard Phonics programme. There is one focus sound for each book. The last two books include simple words using <s> <a> <t> <p> so that students can explore reading with words.

Wordless books allow pre-readers to explore emotion, plot, character and book-handling skills. The children use the illustrations to interpret the story and practise retelling skills, although there is a script provided at the back for adults to use.

The books also include an I-Spy activity that highlights key vocabulary using the focus sound. There are also guided reading questions designed to draw out social-emotional learning.
